Pentago were employed as master planners, architects, and landscape architects on this ‘Resort in a City’ style 300 key hotel. Located on the banks of the Hooghly River, a famous historical river which is a major tributary of the Ganges River. This was an exciting site as it bordered the river for a distance of 100 meters and we had the opportunity of adding a private boat jetty next to all the recreational facilities and swimming pools. The guests could take the hotel private boat direct to Kolkata city centre. The completed design was contemporary and modern using `off form’ concrete and exposed ‘core ten’ steel to resist the harsh climate and environmental conditions experienced at this location.
