The second house, DOS, is like UNO’s older sister, more daring and confident after her sibling’s success. The two carry the same principles and philosophy but have different personalities. DOS takes the outside-in concept even further with its open layout and the majority of the land is dominated by gardens and bodies of water. A signature arc-shaped fishpond greets visitors at the entrance, supported by 16 huge Balau tree trunks and a solid Merbau timber door made from beams of an old demolished plantation house. The double frontage allows the living room to look into the blue lake behind the house. All the living spaces are centered around the garden, which makes up most of the house, while a discreet but open powder room and bath hide behind green foilage at the edge of the garden. Penta Dos won the prestigious PAM/Edge Silver Award in 2010 as the ‘Most Beautiful House’ in Malaysia
